 1.2.2. Annual Public Notification


The Central Community School System (CCSS) offers Career and Technical Education at Central High School (CHS). At CHS, Career and Technical Education courses are open to all students.  CCSS/CHS adheres to the equal opportunity provisions of federal and civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability.   

 


All students have the opportunity to participate in Career & Technical Programs of Study including, but not limited to, areas of Health Care, Construction Crafts & Trades, Computer Technology, .   Program offerings and admission requirements for the coming school year may be found under Student Resources_College and Career_Career and Technical Education at the Central High School website http://centralhigh.centralcss.org/Please contact a guidance counselor at Central High School for additional information, program requirements and/or any questions you may have. The phone number is 225-216-3438. The webmaster will arrange for assistance to be provided.   This notice is also located on the CHS Facebook.

If you have complaints or questions about Section 504 which provides the responsibility of our system to eliminate discrimination on the basis of a disability, including those identified as 504 and Title IX, the CCSS 504 Coordinator is Margaret Law. 

 


If you have complaints or questions about Title II which provides comprehensive civil rights protections for "qualified individuals with disabilities” in any federally funded education program or activity, the Title II Coordinator is Dr. Janet Stevens.

 


If you have complaints or questions about Title IX which is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity, the Title IX Coordinator is Dr. Janet Stevens.
